A Reflection of Picks from Week 2
Texas vs Michigan
Let's just say I told you so. Texas clearly looked like the better team at the big house. Quinn Ewers looked like a “Prime-Time Player,” and Michigan looked like a team that might not even make the playoffs with this performance.
Notre Dame vs Northern Illinois
I’m honestly dumbstruck by Notre Dame’s performance. I have no words for the Fighting Irish. They looked like a completely different team out on the field. Notre Dame did not look like they wanted to win but rather were trying not to lose.
The Obvious Wins
Michigan vs AR State
Prediction: Michigan Wins
Reason: Michigan will bounce back after its disappointing performance against the Texas Longhorns. It might be close in the first quarter, but I see Texas scoring at least 30 points.
Oklahoma St vs Tulsa
Prediction: Oklahoma St blows past Tulsa
Reason: Oklahoma St has been looking dangerous recently. I don’t see Tulsa competing against the Cowboys.
U Miami vs Ball State
Prediction: U Miami Dominates
Reason: Cam Ward is going to ball out against Ball State.
Texas vs UTSA
Prediction: Texas destroys
Reason: After their dominant performance at the big house, Quinn Ewers and the Longhorns are starting to look very dangerous. If Ewers plays the same as he did last week, I can’t see him up there for the Heisman nomination. Longhorns will roll past UTSA.
Georgia vs Kentucky
Prediction: Georgia rolls past Kentucky
Reason: After Kentucky’s 31-6 loss against South Carolina, the Wildcats have no chance against the Georgia Bulldogs
Competitive Matchups
Notre Dame vs Purdue
Prediction: Notre Dame wins
Reason: Let’s just say I was very disappointed in Notre Dame's performance last week against Northern Illinois. However, I think they could bounce back this week against their instate rival, Purdue. While they won’t be blowing the bookmakers out of the water, I do see a tough defensive battle between the two teams. The Fighting Irish will win by one touchdown.
Oklahoma vs Tulane
Prediction: Oklahoma wins in a competitive matchup
Reason: I don’t see Tulane upsetting the Sooners, but I do see both teams giving the fans an entertaining game. Oklahoma wins by a touchdown.
Wisconsin vs Alabama
Prediction: Alabama Wins
Reason: Alabama is playing at Wisconsin, and the crowd in Madison could definitely put some pressure on this newly coached Crimson Tide team. However, I still see Alabama leaving Camp Randall Stadium with the win.
Potential upsets
LSU vs South Carolina
Prediction: South Carolina Wins
Reason: I honestly did not think I was gonna have any upsets today until I saw this matchup. While there could
be a possibility that there are no upsets this week, I have never had a weekend without one. LSU is not looking too great, and South Carolina is looking pretty good. Give me South Carolina.
