Overview
This weekend was a great time to be a college football fan. If your favorite team won or lost, you must admit this weekend was a blast. From close game upsets to heavyweight SEC battles, Vintage & Coupe will cover my favorite games of the weekend.
Kentucky 20-17 Ole Miss
This game hurts to write or think about. I had given a lot of support to the Ole Miss Rebels, and I was expecting to dominate against the Wild Cats based on the performance of their perfectly named quarterback, Jaxon Dart. Dart-throwing Darts - sounds like music to my ears. This, however, was not a great showing from the Rebels. Kentucky came out on top with the win after the Ole Miss kicker missed the 48-yard field goal to tie the game. It was a tough loss for the Rebels, whose ranking dropped from #6 to #12. Ole Miss is looking to bounce back from their loss next Saturday with a match-up against South Carolina.
Michigan 27-24 Minnesota
I am not surprised that Michigan beat Minnesota, but I am shocked that the game was this close. While I do have a history of hating Michigan Football, I expected them to dominate against Minnesota after winning against USC, which I previously highly praised. It’s hard to see what Michigan’s fate will be near the end of the regular season, but I still do not see them as a top-five team in the college football world.
USC 38-21 Wisconsin
I have to say that this game had to be the second most entertaining game of the week. Wisconsin and UCS put on a show for college football fans this Saturday. The game looked to favor Wisconsin, but Miller Moss and the Trojans defense came back to secure the home win. Moss finished the game with 308 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. Next Saturday, USC will face Minnesota, and Wisconsin will face Purdue.
Colorado 48-21 UCF
While Colorado may not be close to a top-10 football team, the Buffaloes must be one of the most entertaining teams to watch. Love them or hate them, Sheduer Sanders and Travis Hunter can put a show on college football gamedays. While the Buffaloes usually come out victorious in close games or get crushed by top 20 teams, Colorado balled out and dominated on the scoreboard against UCF. Sheduer Sanders led the Buffaloes to win with 290 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Travis Hunter also balled out with one interception and one touchdown. Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes will be looking to improve their record next Saturday with a match-up against #20-ranked Kansas State.

Texas 35-13 MS State
How about the Longhorns?! Texas is looking better than ever. It’s crazy to see a team dominating without their starting quarterback, but their second-string quarterback is Arch Manning, an absolute dog. Even though he is a second string QB, I am giving him the honor of being a “Prime Time Player.” Arch Manning led the Long Horns to a 35-13 victory over Mississippi State with 324 yards, two touchdowns, and 1 rushing touchdown. While it is unclear if Manning will be starting over Ewers next Saturday, the Longhorns will bring the juice against the Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Rivalry game. Hook em!
Georgia 41-34 Alabama
This is the game of the week right here. As of right now, you could even say that this is the game of the year. Nothing is better than watching the two top dogs in the SEC go head-to-head. While the first half seemed like it would be Alabama steamrolling Georgia, the Bulldogs came back to gain a lead at the end of the game. However, freshman wide receiver Ryan Williams surprised us all with a 75-yard game-winning touchdown, which crushed the dreams of Georgia fans. Georgia will be looking to bounce back next Saturday with a matchup against the Auburn Tigers. Alabama seems to be looking to stay undefeated as they face off against Vanderbilt.

Vintage & Coupe will return to present our College Football Week 5 Game Picks this week. Stay Tuned.
